Also known as the Leica Vector 21, this unit is the pinnacle of rangefinder binoculars. Used by the US Army, Special Forces, and USMC, the Vector will range up to 10km!
The Vector 21 is a military grade rangefinder and binocular system that presents the toughest and most capable setup on the battlefield. When you need something that will reach out far beyond rifle range, the Vector binoculars will give you a crystal clear view and precise measurements. With capabilities out past ten kilometres, and the ability to measure azimuth and elevation using its digital electronic compass, the Vector 21 is a precise orientation and targeting tool.
Military forces around the world choose the Vector binoculars as their primary tool for observation, ranging, an orientation. They are rarely available for civilian purchase and represent the best technilogical equipment in the most rugged design.
The Vector 21 is a true binocular rangefinder with outstanding day optics, an integrated 3-dimensional, 360° digital compass and a precision, class 1 eye-safe laser rangefinder. It's made to range reliably out past 12km. For short distances, the operator can hold the Vector 21 in his hands, but for ranges greater than 2 km, the unit can be mounted on an Ashbury Precision amagnetic tripod for optimal use.
Two variants of the Vector 21, the Nite and the Aero add two key abilities. The Nite unit's include an image intensifying tube inside the binocular, adding night vision abilities to the tool-kit. The Aero series adds an enhanced incilinometer that allows the user to measure up to 90° vertical. This ability is especially valuable in steep terrain but has also seen use when surveying low flying aircraft to enforce prescribed ground-height regulations.
A clip on magnifying lens is also available to upgrade any Vector unit from 7x magnification to a 10x binocular setup. Ashbury external adapters also allow for a PVS-14 night vision monocular to be mounted behind the optics to add night vision capability.
