Model: PVS-14
The Armasight PVS-14 is a great choice whether you're a coyote hunter or a navy seal. With many different internal tube options, the PVS-14 can be handheld, rifle mounted, or helmet mounted.
The Armasight PVS-14 is a mil-spec night vision monocular. It is available with a wide range of internal tubes, all the way from Gen 2+ to the ITT Gen 4 equivalent: FLAG Filmless grade night vision. As a small and lightweight unit, the PVS-14 is meant to be a flexible night vision option that can address many different needs.
The PVS-14 is the primary night vision device for the US Marine Corps, the US Army, and many American Special Forces units. It also sees use in many different NATO armies and has seen field use in war zones and conflicts around the globe. Because of this widespread use, the PVS-14 has a well established template for accessories and mounts.
The PVS-14 is designed to be a light but strong monocular that can be used daily on extended deployments. In most military forces, it is usually helmet mounted, and oriented to cover one eye with night vision, while leaving the non-dominant eye exposed to react to natural light.
Because of its military origins, the PVS-14 see's a wide range of accessories. It can be converted into a rifle-sight using the Armasight AIM or other adaptors, where it provides an unmagnified view similar to a reflex sight. It can be head mounted for hands free use, or helmet mounted with a "locked up" system for disengagement. A wide variety of lenses are also available to convert the PVS-14 into a long range monocular. 3x and 5x lenses make this less of a situational awareness tool, and more of an observation device.
The PVS-14 multi-purpose night vision monocular was commissioned by the US Military in the late 90s. Today there are more PVS-14 units currently deployed in NATO Armies than any other night vision device. The AN/PVS-14 was the first real multi-use monocular, allowing it to fulfil a huge variety of Military tasks. It is also one of the most popular night vision units for law enforcement.
The Armasight PVS-14 uses the same chassis, and its battle-proven design is light-weight, tough and has superb optics. With variable gain control as standard, the PVS-14 can be configured in either Gen 2+ or Gen 3 variants, and is compatible with a host of accessories allowing it to be hand held, head/helmet mounted, weapon or camera mounted. Designed for the most demanding night time Military or law enforcement operations, it is one of the best systems available.
