Model: 421-0034-00 | Order No: PATHFINDIR-A-KIT
PathFindIR LE Aftermarket Kit includes all the necessary parts for installing your PathfindIR.
The PathFindIR LE Aftermarket Kit has been discontinued, it has been replaced by the FLIR PathFindIR LE Vehicle Thermal Imaging Camera 30Hz
The PathfindIR cameras are quite different from the rest of the night vision on our site. They are built to be installed in a vehicle, and then provide a video output of their thermal image that must be run into a dashboard display. A wide angle camera scans and highlights potential obstacles like wild-life or disabled vehicles, even through smokes, dust, or fog. The range of the thermal core extends out well beyond conventional headlights, which offers an added level of protection for anyone driving at night.
Designed for use in police cruisers, the PathfindIR has found a home in industrial vehicles and large-scale mining trucks but also in luxury vehicles and sport utility vehicles. Users of the PathfindIR are often in areas where wild-life are frequently on the road, or where dust and smoke can create a hazard. But for anyone driving at night, thermal imaging can be a key advantage.
With the FLIR PathFindIR LE, officers can see pedestrians, officers, animals, disabled vehicles and road hazards from 4x farther away than with high beam lights alone. Potential hazards as they approach the sides of the road can also be seen easier. Emergency vehicles travel at high speeds, so they take longer to stop and have an increased chance of an accident. PathFindIR LE helps drivers see hazards from farther away, giving them more time to react and reducing the likelihood of an accident - saving lives and property. FLIR's thermal imagers also see right through smoke, allowing officers to respond safely in brush fire or tunnel fire situations.
These units are available as individual cameras or with an entire installation kit ready to go right out of the box. If you have an existing display in your vehicle already, we have the connections available to interface the FLIR system with your dashboard monitor. We've adapted these units for use on motorcycles when touring across the country, and in airplanes when taxiing on remote runways.
