The Kestrel 2500 Series Pocket Wind Meter is an accurate measurement tool designed to predict changing weather conditions. The 2500 Series measures current wind speed, maximum wind gust, average wind speed, wind chill, barometric pressure, air, water, and snow temperature, as well as altitude.

An external temperature sensor makes snow and water temperature measurements as simple as sticking the unit right into the snow pack or dropping it into the water. Portable and easy-to-use, waterproof and buoyant, the 2500 Series is designed for stability and accuracy, even when weather conditions change suddenly.

The 2500 Series is the perfect instrument for any outdoor activity. A three-hour pressure trend indicator helps you to predict changes in the weather and trends in fish and wildlife activity. The 2500 Series is particularly useful to hunters and shooters, because in addition to predicting weather activity, barometric pressure also influences a bullet's trajectory.

The 2500 Series has a night-vision preserving backlight option which helps users to sustain natural night vision. NV backlights are also much dimmer than a standard backlight, making it more difficult to detect with the naked eye in night operations.

All Kestrel instruments are made in the USA and are backed with a Five-Year Warranty.
