Model: BHS-XR NTSC 30Hz
Uses a 640x480 detector for highest resolution. Requires a 35mm, 60mm, or 100mm lens.
The BHS X and XR series images are long range Bi-ocular systems. Unlike daytime binoculars, these units have only one thermal detector, but two eyepieces for comfort during extended viewing. Combined with a 30hz core and with 3 sizes of interchangeable lenses, the BHS is a top of the line long range range thermal system. Please note that this is just the imager itself, and that at least one lens is required.
The BHS sees use by police forces and tactical teams across the country, and is also popular with search and rescue workers. Long range sheep and elk hunters have used the BHS alongside spotting scopes for distant observation.
The BHS binouclar was made for Law Enforcement units who needed the maximum range while observing over extended periods of time. The 640x420 detecter in the BHS-XR Pro gives it the furthest reach of any night vision unit we sell. It is able to successfully scan out past 2 kilometers and highlight heat signatures of interest. Using both eyes results in a much more comfortable view, and tripod mounting eliminates shake.
The capabilities of thermal technology are a natural fit for law enforcement. The ability to observe at distance in darkness with zero emissions by the user is an undeniable advantage. But beyond that, users are able to see recently used vehicles, trace heat signatures, and screen through dust or smoke. These units can also be converted for team analysis with a video out and monitor. Rather than a single operator directly at the device, you could have several people examning the same thermal image remotely.
